Origin: SW Europe (Western Mediterranean region)

A member of the Mediterranean flora introduced into the British Isles in the eighteenth century. Teucriums are members of the Labiate family of plants and are distinctive in that their flowers lack an upper lip. It is easily grown in mild areas.
