Holywell Rising
The water which resurges at Holywell is of unknown origin, but it has been suggested by some speleologists that water from the Reyfad System could reach this side of the Tullybrack - Ballintempo upland although it has been proved that water sinking at Waterfall Sink (Reyfad System) does not resurge at Holywell.
Notes:
Holywell Rising is a feature of the Belmore Mountain area of the Belmore, Ballintempo and Tullybrack Uplands. For general information on the systems and features of the Belmore area, including this one, and a reference list, see site description 'Belmore, Ballintempo & Tullybrack Uplands; Belmore'.
