| Description: | |
Valley side terraces of channelised, trough and planar cross-bedded cobble gravels and pebbly sands. Exposed individual beds in the upper terrace at (249800, 410200) are steeply dipping (at 25-30§ to 040§N) up to 1.5m thick and consist of predominately well-sorted cobble gravels of visibly alternating clast lithologies. | |
| Interpretation: | |
Interpreted as valley-fill outwash deposited at a generally southwards retreating glacial ice-front. Terracing of the valley-fill resulted from post-deposition erosion. | |
